My iPhone 7 plus will not sync to my iMac but it will to someone else's computer

I cannot sync my new iPhone 7 plus to my iTunes on my iMac. The message says could not connect to iPhone because invalid response was received from the device. It works on my brothers computer but not mine.

iPhone 7 Plus, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Hi

Dont use other peoples pc

Have you got the latest itunes on your PC 12.5.2

When you charge an iPhone / iPad it automatically backs up to iCloud

I have 7 apple devices haven't used my PC for over 2 years for them

Almost everything can be done over WiFi & iCloud .
